Hong Kong

Beautiful Hong Kong.

There is a massive expat community here, especially on the island. I spend a large portion of my time up in the New Territories as I work there.

There are many amazing things about Hong Kong and many not so amazing things. Cockroaches are surprisingly not my least favorite thing about living in Mong Kok ad the wonderful food (read Sushi!) is also not my favorite thing.

Fireworks – CNY 2016

Who doesn’t love fireworks? I always feel guilty when I enjoy them, I remember all to well how my animals reacted to the noises, but I just can’t help watching them. There’s something about the lights, the colours, the sounds and even (if you are close enough) the smell. It seems to fill everyone who […]

Halloween in Hong Kong

I LOVE Halloween! It’s been my favourite ‘holiday’ since I was a child. We don’t really celebrate All Hallows Eve back home, but every other year someone would have a dress up party. Growing up I had a best friend Marieke, she re-immigrated to Namibia at the wee little age of 8. Thankfully she brought the air […]
